Senior Systems Engineers Focused Exclusively on Observability
Cortex Tempohub is an independent technical consulting practice dedicated to solving complex distributed tracing, high-cardinality metric storage, and alerting pipeline challenges.
Our History & Background
Established in 2021 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, Cortex Tempohub Consulting Ltd. was founded by senior infrastructure engineers who spent a decade designing telemetry ingestion backends for high-volume financial clearing networks and e-commerce platforms across East Asia.
As engineering organizations migrated from monolithic backends to polyglot microservice clusters, traditional monitoring tools failed under massive time-series cardinality and fragmented asynchronous trace contexts. We established Cortex Tempohub to provide hands-on, implementation-first consulting that bridges the gap between theoretical telemetry standards and robust production execution.
Today, our practice works directly with platform directors, SRE leads, and distributed backend teams across Taiwan, the Asia-Pacific region, and internationally to implement resilient OpenTelemetry pipelines, Cortex/Mimir storage engines, and Google-standard error budget alerting.

How We Practice Our Craft
1. Hands-On Code & Config Delivery
We do not deliver theoretical slide presentations. We write collector pipelines, author PromQL rules, build custom OpenTelemetry context propagators, and test configurations directly in production-grade environments.
2. Vendor Neutrality & Open Standards
We architect around CNCF open-source telemetry standards (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Cortex, Mimir, Tempo, Loki). Your organization retains 100% control over its data pipelines, storage formats, and cloud vendors.
3. Mentorship & Operational Self-Sufficiency
Every consulting engagement concludes with detailed operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and paired training sessions so your internal platform team can operate and scale the pipeline with complete confidence.
Principal Telemetry Practitioners
Engagements are led directly by senior architects with extensive experience in distributed systems, time-series storage, and high-throughput network engineering.
Elena Lin
Specializes in OpenTelemetry collector pipeline design, tail-based sampling algorithms, and W3C trace context propagation across asynchronous distributed architectures. Based in New Taipei City.
Marcus Thorne
Specializes in high-cardinality time-series storage clustering (Cortex, Mimir), block compaction optimization, and Google SRE multi-window burn-rate alerting topologies.
